Ailanthus is also known as “Tree of Heaven”.  This is a unique species that has its origins in Eastern Asia.  Large Ornate clusters of small yellowish-green flowers are produced on the trees in June.  In summer single seeded winged fruits are produced on the female trees.  Individual trees may produce 315,000 seeds annually.  Mature trees grow to a height up to 100 ft with a diameter up to 3 ft.
